A graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School, Weir has been a member of the Ontario Bar and Alberta Bar for over 35 years. During that time, Weir gained extensive court room experience, appearing in all levels of the courts. During his legal career, Weir participated in hundreds of mediations as counsel and presented numerous papers on conflict management to businesses and church organizations, including the Canadian Bar Association, the Hamilton Law Association and the Ontario Adjusters Association.
Weir has obtained extensive training in the field of conflict resolution, receiving a certificate in conflict management from Conrad Graebel College. He obtained a Masters Degree in Theological Studies from McMaster University. He was awarded a Chartered Mediator's designation by the Arbitration and Mediation Institute of Canada.
Since leaving the practice of law, Weir has devoted the past 15 years exclusively to developing a conflict resolution practice.
